Delhi University conducts the Joint Admission Test (DU JAT) in the month of June. which is a gateway for admission to colleges under Delhi University that offer Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) and Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) programs and BA (Hons) Business Economics. This is a pen-paper based exam.

Exam Pattern

DU JAT 2019 will be conducted for 2 hours wherein candidates need to attempt 120 questions. The question paper will carry multiple choice questions where candidates need to select only one correct answer. The candidate will be allotted 3 marks for every correct answer and a negative mark of 1 for every incorrect answer.

Note :If the candidate choose more than one options as an answer, it shall be considered as an incorrect answer.

  • The appearing candidate should have cleared Senior Secondary School Examination of CBSE or any other equivalent examination.
  • Candidates belonging to general category should have secured a minimum of 60% in class 12th. This aggregate should be of marks scored in four papers- English, Mathematics and the other two subjects that are approved by University of Delhi.
  • Candidates belonging to SC, ST, CW and PwD categories should have attained a minimum of 55% in class 12th. This aggregate should be of marks scored in four papers- English, Mathematics and the other two subjects that are approved by University of Delhi
  • The candidate should have passed individually in all the four papers (mentioned above)
  • Candidates belonging to OBC-non creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD/CW categories should carry a category certificate
  • Candidate with a Compartment or candidate who has appeared for improvement in class 12th is not eligible for admission
  • Foreign Students willing to secure their seats in BMS/ BBA (FIA)/ B.A.(Hons) Business Economics course(s) will have to apply through the Foreign Students Advisor stated under the rules of University of Delhi.

Note: The candidate must possess confirmed result and marksheet of the qualifying examination. When called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview, the candidate needs to produce the same – candidate failing to do so will not be entertained.

DU JAT 2019 Registration begins from May 15, 2019. Candidates should not wait for the last day and fill the application form before June 07, 2019. The application form includes process of registration, uploading of images and fee payment.


  • Candidates can fill the online application form from the official website of DU.
  • Click on ‘New Registration’.
  • Candidates have to fill in their credentials
  • After filling all the credentials click on ‘submit’

Uploading of Images:
The applicant will have to upload the following documents in their application form:

  • Passport size photograph in jpg format and size should be not more than 50 kb
  • Scanned image of signature in jpg format and size should be not more than 50 kb
  • Scanned image of ID Proof in jpg format and should must not exceed 100 kb
  • 10th class certificate in jpg format, size not more than 100 kb
  • Category certificate (if applicable) in jpg format. Size should not exceed 100 kb.

Fee Payment:

  • Application form will not be submitted without the payment of application fee. Fee once paid will not be refunded.
  • Candidates have to make payment through the official website
  • Scanned image of ID Proof in jpg format and should must not exceed 100 kb
  • Login to candidates portal with the help of email ID and password
  • Make the payment.

  • Symbiosis SET 2019 Application Fee is INR 1750 (one program).
  • The fee amount is non-refundable.
  • The category of candidates has no effect on the fee amount.

Admit Card

DU JAT 2019 Admit Card is released by Delhi University on June 14, 2019. Candidates can download their admit card from the official website by simply logging into candidates portal. Candidates must preserve their admit card even after exam for further process. For downloading the admit card, follow the given steps:

  • Candidates can download their Admit Card from the official website.
  • Login to candidates’ portal by providing ID and Password
  • Download the admit card.
  • Take print out of the Admit Card and preserve it for future purposes.

Results and Cut-Offs

DU JAT 2019 Result will be announced by University of Delhi in First week of July 2019. Candidates can check their result on the official website by logging into candidate’s portal.

  • Provide the credentials ID and password
  • Click on button ‘Submit’
  • Download the result and take print out

The shortlisted candidates will be called for the next process of group discussion and personal interview.


Candidates who clear DU JAT 2019, Group discussion and Personal interview will be called for the counselling process which will begin in the first week of July 2019. The seats will be allotted on the basis of candidate’s performances and marks. There is no separate form to be filled for counselling process.
