The IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is the official entrance exam for admission to the Integrated Program in Management or IPM offered by IIM Indore. IPM was started in the year 2011 by IIM Indore. And as of now, IIM Indore is the only IIM in the country to offer such a program after class XII.

Syllabus of the Exam

IPMAT 2019 exam paper consisted of three sections:

  • The paper pattern of IIM Indore IPMAT has been fairly similar over the years.
  • There are 100 questions in total with a time duration of 2 hours
  • Each correct answer carries 4 marks.
  • There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer for MCQs.
  • There is No Negative marking for Short Answer (SA) questions
  • Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order is same for all the candidates.

Eligibility?

A General and NC-OBC category applicant must:

  • Have secured at least 60% in both Class X/SSC and XII/HSC or equivalent examinations, to appear for the entrance test.
  • Not be more than 20 years of age as of July 31, 2019.

An SC/ST and PWD (DA) category applicant must:

  • Have secured at least 55% in both Class X/SSC and XII/HSC or equivalent examinations, to appear for the entrance test.
  • Not be more than 22 years of age as of July 31, 2019.

Note: Candidates belonging to NC-OBC, SC, ST and PWD(DA) need to submit valid and attested certificates in support of their reservation category.

Filling the IPMAT Application Form:

  • Candidates need to visit the official website.
  • Click the registration link to generate a User ID and Password. The institute will send the User ID and Password to the candidates through Email and SMS.
  • Candidates have to Re-login using these credentials to fill the application form.

Note: Make sure that all the details entered are correct as no change of any kind will be allowed once the application form is submitted.

Requirements during Registration:

The candidates need to keep the following things handy at the time of filling the application form of IPMAT.

  • Scanned copy of passport size photograph - Make sure that the photograph is clear with a plain background.
  • Scanned copy of your signature - Use a ballpoint pen for the signature and make sure that the image is clearly visible
  • Photo ID proof - Any photo identity proof such as Voter ID, Aadhaar ID, Driving License, etc.
  • Bank details- Choose a payment mode as per your convenience and pay the application fee.

Note: Make sure that you have a valid email id and contact number at the time of registration as all the communication related to the exam will be done through the contact details mentioned by the candidates. Admit Cards:

After submitting the application form, candidates would be able to download the IPMAT 2019 Admit Card from the official website which is likely to be available from the first week of May 2019. The IPMAT 2019 admit card will be made available in online mode only. Candidates are required to take a print of the admit card after they download it.

Note: The hall ticket of IPMAT 2019 is an important document which must be carried to the exam centre on test day. No candidate will be allowed to appear for IPMAT 2019 test without the admit card.

Selection Process

The IPMAT 2019 selection process comprises of a two-step process.

  • The aspirants are first required to appear in the IPM Aptitude Test. On the basis of overall score secured in the Aptitude Test (AT), candidates are shortlisted for the second stage which involves a Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI).
  • The weightage given to the various stages of IPMAT selection process is as follows:
    • Aptitude test score - 50 percent (Quantitative Ability + Verbal Ability)
    • Personal interview - 35 percent
    • Written ability test - 15 percent
Results and Cut-Offs

IIM Indore will declare the result of the IPMAT 2019 tentatively in the third week of May. Candidates will be able to check the result in online mode only from the official website of IPMAT using their login credentials. Candidates who have been shortlisted based on their IPMAT score will be called for further selection rounds of WAT and PI.

Result of the test can be checked by following the given steps:

  • Visit the official website of IIM Indore and go to IPMAT section
  • Click on the “Results” button
  • Enter your IPMAT 2019 application form number
  • Enter in the registered emailID or Date of Birth in DD/MM/YY format
  • Now enter the Security Code
  • Click on 'Get Status' tab

Computation Process for IPMAT Results 2019:
