How to Prepare

Preparation Tips

GK can be the most scoring subject. One can prepare for GK online on various sites, read newspapers and magazines regularly.

Reasoning could become bit tricky if one hasn't practiced beforehand. Math covers all basic concepts, like profit and loss/ ratio proportion/ algebra. One needs to have a fundamental clarity of the subject.

English is being covered mostly through Reading Comprehensions of a bit advance level as per Undergraduate Entrance Examination level as they are smartly put up questions. They are written in a way to confuse, one just needs to be careful. Previous Year Question Papers will help a lot to practice

As per the strategy to apply

Follow a Time Table

It is really necessary that one makes a time table and strictly follows it and one has a definite idea of what one is required to study and the time required for it.

Concept clarity rather than rote learning

It is required that one has a clear idea of the formulas and concepts other than just memorising things without understanding for the sake of papers. While one might require it for recalling formulas that one memorised but it is important that for things other than formulas, one makes sure that one clears their basics and concepts before getting ahead.

Prepare Notes

It is a necessity to make small notes or flash cards or a comprehensive list of formulas on each completed topic and chapter which will come in as a very useful piece of paper at the time of revisions.

Revision of Class XI and XII concepts

One should revise concepts from the syllabus of Class XI/XII before starting anything new.

Seek guidance

It is very difficult to know everything in syllabus, at least not at the time of preparation. One should seek guidance from an instructor or a teacher for any concept or topic not done well or having confusion in. It is important that one clears their doubts at regular intervals. Having a good instructor might help in such cases.

Mock tests

The paper pattern, duration of the paper and the number of questions to be attempted in the given amount of time is difficult to understand. A Mock Test tests a student’s abilities, it provides a similar feel of real exams, helps in building speed and confidence

Time management

Time management can be learnt through a lot of practice and regularly giving mock papers. It is important that one practices and practices papers well.
